Jacobe Smith

Remains undefeated as pro
WelterweightUFC
February 21, 2026
Smith defeated Josiah Harrell via TKO (strikes) at 3:01 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Houston.
ANALYSIS
The UFC continues to bring Smith along slowly, which is probably the correct move given he has about as much future upside as any prospect in the sport today. Smith is already 30 years old, but has just a dozen professional fights under his belt. Harrell is no slouch, and Jacobe reversed him with ease during a mat exchange before pounding him out in an instant. The finish would go on to earn him a $100,000 Performance of the Night bonus. Smith spent his post-fight interviewing calling out Kevin Holland, who was in the crowd. The issue is that Holland already has a fight scheduled against Randy Brown at UFC 327 in April in Miami. Either way, Smith is primed for big things moving forward at 170 pounds.

Rolls as biggest favorite on card
WelterweightUFC
June 28, 2025
Smith defeated Niko Price via submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:03 of Round 2 at UFC 317 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Smith entered this fight as roughly a -2500 favorite, which is about as high a number as you will ever see at this level. He dominated the entire way, although he didn't earn an instant victory, which was probably a good thing. Smith earned plenty of valuable experience against a durable opponent. If there's one negative, it's the fact his energy level seemed to dip after he wasn't able to get Price out of there immediately. Regardless, the result was never in doubt. It's the first submission win of Smith's brief professional career. He improves to 2-0 in the UFC.

Smith will face Niko Price in a welterweight bout at UFC 317 on June 28, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Smith debuted at the UFC level and did it with a huge knockout against Preston Parsons on Jan. 11. The former wrestler in college remains undefeated in MMA and eight of his 10 wins have come via KO. His power should pose quite a challenge for Price.
Instant knockout victory in debut
WelterweightUFC
January 11, 2025
Smith defeated Preston Parsons via KO (punches) at 1:13 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It was a flawless effort from Smith in his official company debut and one that should put him in contention for a post-fight bonus. A former standout wrestler in college, Smith has displayed insane power in his brief MMA career, going undefeated in 10 fights, with eight of those wins coming via knockout. Smith certainly has the athletic pedigree to develop into an excellent fighter at this level, and getting elite training every single day with the crew at Fortis MMA in Dallas should only help matters.
