Thomson lost to Joanderson Brito via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.

ANALYSIS
Thomson accepted this fight just a few days ago following the withdrawal of Melsik Baghdasaryan and performed admirably as a +200 underdog. He appeared to tire as the fight progressed despite the fact two of the three judges gave him Round 3. Overall, Thomson allowed eight takedowns on a dozen attempts, although he did land 4-of-5 of his own. All things considered, he looked like a UFC-caliber fighter in a tough spot against a decent opponent. The company will certainly give him another opportunity following his willingness to "save" this matchup.
