Wins UFC debut in home country
Sola defeated Rhys McKee via TKO (strikes) at 2:02 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Paris.
ANALYSIS
A native of France and former standout in the Ares promotion, Sola had a ton of support for his UFC debut and put forth a strong showing. He got the better of the uber-tough McKee on the feet, highlighted by a Round 3 knockdown. Sola also showed off some of his grappling skills by landing a takedown and picking up 3:05 worth of control time. It was a strong all-around effort. A natural lightweight, Sola accepted this fight at 170 pounds. Expect him to drop back down to 155 pounds his next time out.

UFC debut booked
Sola will take on Rhys McKee in a welterweight bout at UFC Paris on Sept. 6, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Sola has been excellent as a pro, having gone undefeated since 2019. He's most recently fought in the ARES Fighting Championship, where he boasts a 5-0-1 record. For his UFC debut, he'll get to fight in his home country and take on an opponent with a less-than-stellar 1-4 record in the promotion.
