Shines in late-notice debut
Coria defeated Alessandro Costa via TKO (punches) at 0:47 of Round 3 at UFC Noche on Saturday in San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
A long-time veteran of both the Fury and LFA promotions, Coria stepped in here for Edgar Chairez and put forth a brilliant performance. Keeping his opponent off balance the entire fight, Coria attempted 131 total strikes compared to just 59 from Costa. When all was said and done, he led that category by a 77-14 count. He also landed both of his takedown attempts. Nothing in Coria's background suggests a prolonged winning streak is forthcoming, but he couldn't have looked much better in his debut here.

To debut at UFC Noche
Coria will make his UFC debut in a flyweight matchup against Alessandro Costa at Noche UFC on Sept. 13, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Coria is 27 years old and has accumulated a 10-3-0 (1 NC) record on the regional scene, most recently picking up a second-round KO/TKO victory in May under the banner of Fury FC. Of his 10 wins, four are via KO/TKO and four are via submission. He now draws Costa, who is 2-2 with the UFC but recently lost his scheduled opponent, Edgar Chairez.
