The Red Wings' crease isn't as crowded as it has been in recent years, but that doesn't mean Cossa will be a full-time NHL option in 2025-26. He should still get a chance at some point this season, as the combination of John Gibson and Cam Talbot offers plenty of concern for injuries. Cossa went 21-15-5 with a 2.45 GAA and a .911 save percentage over 41 regular-season games with AHL Grand Rapids last season, and he also won his NHL debut, which came in December in a relief appearance. ANALYSIS
Cossa is up to two shutouts this season and five in his career. The 23-year-old netminder has dominated the AHL this year with an 8-1-0 record, a 1.56 GAA and a .942 save percentage in nine games. He's done everything he can at this point to earn a call-up, and continued strong play could help him push for regular NHL minutes as soon as 2026-27.

ANALYSIS
The Red Wings have a clear goalie tandem of John Gibson and Cam Talbot for their NHL starts. That duo is also injury prone, which could lead to some chances for Cossa throughout the year, but the bulk of the young netminder's time will be with AHL Grand Rapids. Bultman adds that this could position Cossa to be ready to take on an NHL job for 2026-27, so dynasty managers will need to have a little more patience awaiting his full-time arrival in Motown.
