Kelly agreed to terms on a two-year, $1.65 million contract with Colorado after Ottawa declined to give him a qualifying offer. He produced eight goals, 18 points, 86 shots on net, 67 blocked shots and 171 hits in 80 games last season. After logging a career-high 11:42 of average ice time, Kelly's minutes will likely decrease with the Avalanche in 2024-25. The team isn't known for playing bottom-six forwards much, but he should see plenty of penalty-kill action while adding some physicality to the lineup.
