Gulyayev has made 28 appearances for Omsk this season, but he has just three points and a minus-4 rating while averaging 10:38 of ice time. That's not an ideal situation for a young player to be in. The Avalanche prospect is under contract for the rest of this season, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him move to North America for 2026-27.

Gulyayev is entering the last year of his contract with the KHL's Avangard Omsk. He has earned a total of 28 points over 144 regular-season games for Avangard across the last three years while also seeing time with the organization's minor-league and junior affiliates. The 31st overall pick in 2023 is a creative passer and a smooth skater. Still, his performance in the KHL so far indicates he won't make an immediate fantasy impact even if his NHL debut comes this spring, but the Avalanche have few prospects in the pipeline.
