Michael Misa

18-Year-Old CenterC
2025 Fantasy Outlook
With the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, San Jose took Misa, who has the potential to become one of the league's best two-way centers. He completely dominated the OHL last year, scoring 62 goals and 134 points across 65 regular-season appearances with Saginaw while also recording 45 PIM. The Sharks haven't transitioned from rebuild to competitive, so there should be a spot available for Misa on the Opening Night roster, though the 18-year-old might be eased in by initially serving on the third line with some power-play ice time. A 40-50 point rookie season isn't out of the realm of possibility for Misa, but his best is likely still a couple of years away. Read Past Outlooks

Misa picked up two assists in Monday's 4-1 win over Florida.
ANALYSIS
Both helpers came in the second period, as Misa helped set up tallies by Vincent Desharnais and Mario Ferraro. The points were the first in four games for Misa since rejoining the Sharks from the World Juniors, and on the season, the second overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft has a goal and five points in 11 contests.

January 9, 2026
Misa said Friday that he expects to remain with the Sharks for the remainder of the season, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
ANALYSIS
Misa was away from the Sharks recently while playing for Canada at the 2026 IIHF World Junior Championship, but he was recalled to the active roster Tuesday. He missed most of the first half of the season due to a lower-body injury, but he should have an opportunity to develop with the NHL club now that he's healthy.
