2025 Fantasy Outlook
With the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, San Jose took Misa, who has the potential to become one of the league's best two-way centers. He completely dominated the OHL last year, scoring 62 goals and 134 points across 65 regular-season appearances with Saginaw while also recording 45 PIM. The Sharks haven't transitioned from rebuild to competitive, so there should be a spot available for Misa on the Opening Night roster, though the 18-year-old might be eased in by initially serving on the third line with some power-play ice time. A 40-50 point rookie season isn't out of the realm of possibility for Misa, but his best is likely still a couple of years away. Read Past Outlooks

On LTIR, starting conditioning stint
CSan Jose Sharks
Lower Body
December 3, 2025
Misa (lower body) has been moved from regular IR to long-term injured reserve and loaned to AHL San Jose for a conditioning stint, the team announced Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Misa has a goal and three points in seven appearances this season. He hasn't played since Nov. 1 because of the injury. Heading to the minors will be a good chance for Misa to shake off the rust and log big minutes as he continues his development.

Could head to AHL for conditioning
CSan Jose Sharks
December 2, 2025
Misa is close to returning to the lineup from a lower-body injury and could head to the AHL on a conditioning loan, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Misa hasn't been ruled out yet for Wednesday's game against Washington. However, he has missed the last 15 contests and logging big minutes in the AHL would make a great deal of sense. Misa has one goal, two assists, 13 shots on net and five blocked shots in seven NHL outings this season.
