Mooney comes in at just 5-foot-7, which is likely going to discourage several NHL teams from taking him early in the draft. The 18-year-old center's size didn't stop him from generating five goals and 23 assists in 26 games with the US Development Team this past season. Even if Mooney does go earlier in the draft, he is a long-term prospect for both NHL teams and fantasy managers. Mooney is slated to join the University of Minnesota starting with the 2026-27 campaign.
