Bichsel played in just 38 games in the regular season, but threw a staggering 155 hits, on pace for 334 hits over a full 82-game season. The 21-year-old finished the 2024-25 season as a lineup regular and also appeared in all 18 of the Stars' postseason contests. While the offense wasn't there -- he finished with 10 combined points in 56 games between regular season and postseason -- there is definitely another level to discover in the young defenseman's game. Entering his second season in the NHL, Bichsel should have a regular role in the lineup and the chance to stack up hits and elevate his game offensively over a full year, leaving him as a deep potential breakout candidate that should be available at the tail end of drafts. Bichsel is still not weight-bearing and has yet to begin rehabbing his lower-body injury, suffered Nov. 30. The 21-year-old was placed on long-term injured reserve and is still a ways out from a return. Bichsel had one goal and two assists with a plus-6 rating in 26 games prior to his injury.
