Kaiden Guhle

Kaiden Guhle

24-Year-Old DefensemanD
Montreal Canadiens
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Although injuries limited Guhle to 55 regular-season games in 2024-25, he played a key role with the Canadiens when healthy, averaging 21:11 of ice time. He finished the campaign with six goals, 18 points, 47 PIM, 104 hits and 124 blocks across those 55 outings. Guhle has developed a significant injury history, which makes him a risky option, but the 23-year-old has the potential to record 25-35 points, 60-80 PIM, 150-175 hits and 175-200 blocks this year if he manages to stay healthy. The No. 16 overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft is at the start of what could be a fantastic career, making him an interesting selection in keeper leagues. Read Past Outlooks

Nabs first assist since return
DMontreal Canadiens
January 20, 2026
Guhle notched an assist, two shots on goal and two hits in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Wild.
ANALYSIS
Guhle was sidelined for 39 games due to a groin injury, and his helper Tuesday was his first point in five appearances since he returned. He's at three points, 13 shots on net, 11 PIM, 22 hits, 10 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 10 contests. Guhle will likely be in the lineup a majority of the time, though he was scratched once since he returned to help manage his workload.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
Guhle accounted for six goals, 22 points, 178 blocked shots and 116 hits in 70 appearances during the 2023-24 campaign. He had two goals and five assists in seven outings before missing the final seven contests of the year due to a head injury. The 22-year-old defender will be ready for the upcoming campaign after returning to action as a member of Team Canada at the 2024 IIHF World Championship. Guhle remains a work in progress offensively but should be a great source of blocked shots and hits in 2024-25.
Guhle was a regular for Montreal a season ago when healthy, which wasn't very often. He missed about two months starting in late December with a knee injury, returned for a brief spell, then suffered a high-ankle sprain which ended his year. All told, Guhle had four goals and 18 points in 44 games. It was a surprising amount of offensive production for a kid that projects as a stay-at-home defender. Whether or not Guhle can maintain that pace moving forward remains to be seen. The 21-year-old will again be a key part of the Canadiens' defensive corps in 2023-24.
