Davidson was recalled Friday after the Canadiens announced that Alex Newhook had undergone surgery for a fractured ankle and would be out of action for four months. Davidson should see bottom-six minutes in his NHL debut. He had nine goals, two assists and 19 PIM over 13 AHL games in 2025-26 before his recall.
