Ivan Ivan

23-Year-Old CenterC
2025 Fantasy Outlook
The Avalanche entered the 2024-25 campaign with forwards unavailable, which created an opportunity for Ivan. However, he ended up logging just 40 regular-season outings with Colorado despite appearing in each of the first 37 games. When all was done, Ivan had five goals, eight points, eight PIM, 34 shots, 12 hits and eight blocks with the Avalanche as well as 12 points and 26 PIM in 36 regular-season games with the AHL’s Eagles. Ivan might get another chance to start in the NHL this campaign, but that position is not guaranteed. Even if he does make the team, he’ll probably serve in a bottom-six capacity, so look at 30 points as his best-case scenario for 2025-26. Read Past Outlooks

Ivan was reassigned to AHL Colorado on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Ivan received just 4:57 of ice time in Monday's 5-2 win over Washington. The 23-year-old has bounced between the NHL and AHL several times in January, and considering the Avalanche are dealing with a few injuries up front, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Ivan back up with the big club at some point in the near future.

Contender for fourth-line role
CColorado Avalanche  Minors
September 18, 2025
Ivan is viewed as a candidate to fill the fourth-line center role this season, Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette reports Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Ivan had mixed results in 2024-25, earning eight points in 40 regular-season games for the Avalanche. He struggled after a January demotion to AHL Colorado, but he has a fresh slate this preseason to earn his way into an NHL role. The 23-year-old's fantasy appeal will still be limited from the fourth line, but he has a fairly simple path to the Opening Night roster given the Avalanche's thin center depth.
