Latest Fantasy Rumors
Here to stay with Pens?
DPittsburgh Penguins
October 19, 2025
The general consensus around the Penguins organization is that Brunicke will remain in the NHL all season and won't be sent back to juniors, Josh Yohe of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Brunicke is one of many teenagers taking the league by storm so far this season. The 19-year-old defenseman has one goal, a plus-2 rating, one hit and five blocked shots during his 16:10 of ice time per night. A second-round selection by the Penguins in 2024, he's able to get nine games in the NHL before the team must either send him back to his junior team or burn the first year of his entry-level deal. Based off early reports, it certainly seems like he might be here to stick.
