ANALYSIS
Bains was reportedly in the mix for a roster spot right up to the final minutes before he was supplanted by Aatu Raty. If the 23-year-old Bains is added to the lineup against Philadelphia, it would likely be in a bottom-six role. If Bains isn't getting enough minutes at the NHL level, don't be surprised to see him sent back to the minors for more opportunities.
