SLATE PREVIEW
Ottawa (vs. Vancouver), Carolina (at St. Louis), Washington (vs. Montreal) and Utah (vs. Toronto) are the biggest favorites on the Moneyline. The Over/Under for the Islanders-Jets matchup is 5.5 goals, while the remainder of the contests anticipate 6.5 goals.
GOALIES
Andrei Vasilevskiy, TBL at PIT ($7,900): Vasilevskiy is poised to get the second half of Tampa Bay's back-to-back. He has stopped 158 of 175 shots during his seven-game winning streak. He has allowed two goals or fewer four times in his last six outings.
Ilya Sorokin, NYI at WPG ($7,000): Sorokin has won his past two starts while turning aside 77 of the 80 shots he has faced. Winnipeg has won consecutive contests after a lengthy slump, but Sorokin has plenty of upside as a value play between the pipes for Tuesday's slate.
VALUE PLAYS/ONE-OFFS
Alex Ovechkin, WSH vs. MTL ($7,800): Ovechkin has lit the lamp in four straight games, netting five goals on 12 shots while adding one assist. He has two power-play points (one goal, one assist) during that span. Ovechkin had three goals and one helper in an 8-4 win over Montreal on Nov. 25.
William Nylander, TOR at UTA ($6,800): Nylander has two multi-point efforts in two outings after missing six contests due to a lower-body injury. He has two goals, three assists and four shots over that stretch. Nylander has amassed 46 points (16 goals, 30 assists) in 35 appearances this campaign, including one tally and one helper in a 5-3 win over the Mammoth on Nov. 5.
Juraj Slafkovsky, MTL at WSH ($5,200): Slafkovsky has accumulated four goals, 10 points and 11 shots on target in his last seven outings. He has four multi-point efforts during that stretch, including a three-point performance in Monday's 6-3 win over Vancouver.
FORWARD LINE STACKS
Stars at Ducks
Wyatt Johnston (C - $7,400), Mikko Rantanen (W - $8,000), Sam Steel (W - $2,800)
Johnston has potted five goals on 16 shots while contributing an assist in six games going into Tuesday night's action. Rantanen has three goals, 12 shots and eight points during that six-game span, while Steel has one marker and four helpers during his three-game point streak.
The trio should remain hot against a Ducks team that has allowed the most goals per game (3.73) in the league this season. They have already combined for four goals, 10 points and 11 shots in two games versus Anaheim this campaign.
Senators vs. Canucks
Tim Stutzle (C - $7,100), Drake Batherson (W - $5,600), Fabian Zetterlund (W - $3,500)
Stutzle hasn't reached the scoresheet in three straight games after racking up eight goals and 13 assists during a 13-game point streak. Following a productive December with 16 points (seven goals, nine assists) in 13 games, Batherson has two goals and one helper in five matches going into Tuesday's slate. Zetterlund has two goals, seven shots and one assist in his past six appearances after finishing December with seven points (three goals, four assists) in six contests.
Ottawa's top line has bounce-back appeal against the struggling Canucks. Vancouver has lost seven straight games (0-5-2) while allowing five goals or more five times. Vancouver has surrendered the second-most goals per game (3.62) in the league this season.
DEFENSEMEN
Evan Bouchard, EDM at NSH ($7,300): Bouchard has compiled four goals and five assists during his five-game point spree. He has four power-play points (two goals, two assists), 13 shots on net and eight blocked shots over that stretch.
John Carlson, WSH vs. MTL ($6,200): Carlson has collected one marker and five assists across his four-game point streak. He has one power-play helper, six shots and four blocks during that span. Carlson has found the scoresheet in seven of his past 10 regular-season appearances against the Canadiens while collecting eight assists.
Darren Raddysh, TBL at PIT ($6,000): Raddysh has accounted for four goals and eight assists during his six-game point streak. He has 17 shots, six blocks and four power-play points (two goals, two assists) during that span.
