There are five games on the NHL slate Friday. Florida plays in Carolina, San Jose travels to Detroit, St. Louis hosts Tampa Bay, Nashville is in Colorado and Anaheim travels crosstown to face LA. Below, you'll find suggested options for crafting an effective lineup.
GOALIES
Andrei Vasilevskiy, TB at STL ($8,000): Vasilevskiy is on a heater having won eight straight to boost his record to 19-7-2 with a 2.27 GAA and .914 save percentage. He'll be going up a St. Louis team on Friday that sits last in the league for offense at only 2.49 goals per game.
Mackenzie Blackwood, COL vs. NSH ($8,400): Blackwood is expected to return after being out with a lower-body injury. He's gone 13-1-1 with a 2.07 GAA and a .924 save percentage through 15 starts this season. Should Blackwood not be able to go, Scott Wedgewood also represents a solid DFS selection.
VALUE PLAYS
Alex Laferriere, LA vs. ANA ($4,700): Laferriere has two goals and two assists in his last six outings while skating on the Kings' top line. He's also supplied 127 hits on the season.
Tyler Toffoli, SJ at DET ($4,800): Toffoli is on a four-game scoring streak where he's produced three goals and three assists to give him 32 points overall. He also participates on San Jose's first power play where he's notched five goals and four assists.
FORWARD LINE STACKS
Avalanche vs. Predators
Artturi Lehkonen (W - $5,500), Nathan MacKinnon (C - $10,500), Martin Necas (W - $7,000)
Colorado should be well-rested having last played on Monday where they suffered a rare home loss to the Leafs. MacKinnon is once again battling Connor McDavid for the scoring lead at 81 points. Necas has accumulated eight goals and 16 assists from his last 19 appearances while Lehkonen has gone for 15 and 19 overall. All three are also part of the Avs' top power play.
Red Wings vs. Sharks
Emmitt Finnie (W - $3,300) Dylan Larkin (W - $6,500), Lucas Raymond (W - $5,700)
If you'll be spending up for the Avs stack, you'll need an inexpensive alternative. Larkin sits third in team scoring at 42 points while the rookie Finnie has contributed nine goals and 10 assists. Raymond doesn't regularly play with Larkin, yet does on the man-advantage where he's registered 20 of his 49 points.
DEFENSEMEN
Darren Raddysh, TB at STL ($6,000): Raddysh has been a stud with Victor Hedman out of action taking over quarterbacking Tampa's first power play while racking up 39 points from 39 appearances, including six goals and seven assists while up a man.
Brandt Clarke, LA vs. ANA ($5,000): Clarke is on a three-game scoring streak that covers a goal and three assists. He's already at 23 points while on pace for a career-high after getting 33 last year.
