NHL DFS: DraftKings Plays and Strategy for Sunday, October 19

This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.

After a busy Saturday in the NHL, Sunday is a lighter schedule with two evening games for the DFS slate and the puck dropping at 7 p.m. EDT for both. Here are my lineup recommendations.

SLATE PREVIEW

The Bruins visit the Mammoth and are the only team on the second leg of a back-to-back. Anaheim and Chicago will be facing each other in a matchup between two rebuilding teams at different levels of their rebuilds.

GOALIE

Spencer Knight, CHI vs. ANA ($7,500): Credit where it's due, Knight has looked like the once-vaunted prospect he was projected to be - and then some - having made four starts while posting 2.21 GAA and .924 save percentage. The Blackhawks' defense is going to make things tough on Knight as the season goes on, though a traveling Ducks team isn't likely to be too much of a threat. While Anaheim made some changes, they averaged 2.67 goals and 27.9 shots last season.

VALUE PLAY/ONE-OFF

Ilya Mikheyev, CHI vs. ANA ($4,400): While Knight has been living up to the hope/hype, Lukas Dostal has not with a 3.39 GAA and .885 save percentage through three outings. Mikheyev scored 20 goals for the Blackhawks last year and has already compiled two two-point efforts followed by one where he directed five shots on net.

FORWARD LINE STACK TO CONSIDER

Mammoth vs. Bruins

Logan Cooley (C - $6,700), Dylan Guenther (W - $7,500), JJ Peterka (W - $4,800)

The Bruins are on the road for the second straight night with Joonas Korpisalo most likely getting the call in net. In four of the five previous seasons, he's finished with a sub-.900 save percentage and so far lists an .851. Utah offers two lines with the potential to be productive and I've chosen to go with their second unit.

Cooley earned a larger role during his sophomore season thanks to 25 goals and 40 assists. He's also averaged 19:57, including 4:37 on the power play. And while Cooley only has one goal on eight shots plus one assist through five games, he'll be just fine. Guenther potted 27 goals last year and recorded four points from the first three matchups. While he hasn't found the scoresheet during the last two, he totaled seven shots. Peterka, a big offseason addition from the Sabres, has settled in well and just had a three-game point streak snapped where he also notched four shots.

DEFENSEMAN

Sam Rinzel, CHI vs. ANA ($4,500): After Rinzel's campaign at the University of Minnesota ended, he debuted with the Blackhawks in April and would go on to make nine appearances while producing five assists and 22 shots. And he already finds himself on both the top pairing and No. 1 power play where he's supplied a helper and his first NHL goal. In addition to the concerns about Lukas Dostal, the Ducks have allowed 32.1 shots per game since the start of last season.
