Boston Bruins
at Florida Panthers
The Bruins (32-20-4) and the Panthers (28-24-3) meet at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Fla., on TNT/HBO Max at 7 p.m. ET in the front end of the nationally-televised doubleheader.
Boston won the first meeting 4-3 on Oct. 21 at TD Garden in the Bay State, cashing as moderate favorites (-155) as the Over (5.5) cashed.
The Bruins are back in contention this season after a couple of poor years, including one that saw them trade Brad Marchand to these Panthers. Boston is just 11-12-3 on the road this season, though, while the Panthers are only 14-13-3 at home.
Florida has won three of the past five regular-season meetings since Oct. 8, 2024, with the Over going 4-1 in those meetings. We have had 7.2 goals per game combined in that five-game span.
The Panthers have dropped four in a row, getting outscored 16-11, while the Over is 5-1 across the previous six outings. Florida has inexplicably lost four in a row at home, while going just 2-7-0 in the past nine in Sunrise.
The Bruins are still reeling after frittering away a 5-1 lead in an outdoor Stadium Series game at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on Sunday, eventually losing 6-5 in a shootout. In a losing effort, Morgan Geekie scored two goals while posting three points, while Charlie McAvoy chipped in with two assists.
Jeremy Swayman (22-12-3, 2.92 GAA, .902 SV%, 1 SO), who blew the big lead, is likely to be back between the pipes looking for redemption. He is likely to be opposed by Daniil Tarasov (8-7-2, 2.67 GAA, .904 SV%), who allowed five goals on 31 shots in a 5-4 loss at St. Louis last time out on Thursday.
The Bruins are worth a look as slight underdogs, as the Panthers are just not playing well lately, especially at home. And, let's go Over on the total.
- Bruins ML (+120 at Bet365 and DraftKings Sportsbooks)
- Over 6 (-120 at Bet365, BetRivers and Caesars Sportsbooks)

St. Louis Blues
at Dallas Stars
The Blues (20-27-9) and the Stars (33-14-9) meet at American Airlines Center in the Metroplex on Wednesday night in the second end of the TNT/HBO Max doubleheader at 9:30 p.m. ET.
Dallas has won two of the first three meetings, while taking six of the past seven in the series since April 17, 2024. The favorite is 6-1 in the past seven meetings, too, while the Under is 6-2 across the past eight meetings dating back to Dec. 27, 2023. The Blues are just 7-16-3 on the road this season, while the Stars are 15-7-3 at home.
The Blues were on the short end of a 6-5 loss in Nashville last time out on Monday as the Over (6) cashed. The Blues are just 1-6-1 in the past eight games, while the Over is 5-0 in the past five outings, mainly due to the fact that the defense and goaltending have gone south. St. Louis has allowed four or more goals in each of the past five games, allowing 4.8 goals per game (GPG) in the past eight outings.
On the flip side, the Stars have won five in a row, including a 4-3 win in St. Louis on Jan. 27, and it kicked off the five-game win streak with a 3-2 home win on Jan. 23 over the Blues. The Over is 3-1 in the past four outings, too.
In that Jan. 27 meeting in St. Louis, Matt Duchene scored two goals, including a power-play goal, and Thomas Harley had the game-winning tally with just 1:07 left in regulation. Dallas was up 3-0, it blew the lead, with St. Louis using goals from Robby Fabbri and Brayden Schenn (x2) to level things. The goal from Harley bailed out Joel Oettinger, who stopped 23 of 26 shots.
In the home meeting Jan. 23, Wyatt Johnston and Dalibor Dvorsky exchanged power-play goals in the first period, and Pavel Buchnevich and Duchene exchanged goals in the second period, before Jason Robertson posted the winner with just 60 seconds remaining.
The Blues have played the Stars surprisingly close; the offense is doing its job, but St. Louis has come up just short. It has been involved in one-goal games in five of the past six games, so we'll take the Blues with the goal and a half, while going Over on the total.
- Blues +1.5 Goals (-135 at BetMGM)
