New York Rangers
at Boston Bruins
The Rangers (20-19-6) and Bruins (23-19-2) meet at TD Garden in a matinee battle on ABC.
New York is just 5-11-4 at home this season, but it has been tremendous on the road, going 15-8-2. That includes a 6-2 victory in the first meeting on Nov. 28 in Boston. The Bruins are 13-8-1 at home so far.
In that late November meeting, Mika Zibanejad had a pair of power-play goals, while LW Artemi Panarin had a goal and four points, D Adam Fox had three assists and C Vincent Trocheck had two helpers. G Igor Shesterkin had 19 saves on 21 shots, but he is out with a lower-body injury.
Jonathan Quick lost 3-2 in overtime against the Utah Mammoth in relief of the injured Shesterkin, while allowing four goals on just 20 shots in a 5-2 loss against the Buffalo Sabres Thursday in his first start in place of Shesty.
The Bruins have won three of the past four games. The offense is averaging 4.3 goals per game (GPG), while allowing two or fewer goals in four of the past five games.
While New York has won six of the past seven in this series, let's back Boston, mainly because of the goaltending situation. And, we'll go high on the total.
- Bruins ML (-125 at Bet365, Caesars, DraftKings and Fanatic Sportsbooks)
- Over 5.5 (-125 at Bet365, Caesars and Fanatics Sportsbooks)

Florida Panthers
at Ottawa Senators
The Panthers (22-18-3) and Senators (20-18-5) meet at Canadian Tire Centre at 7 p.m. EST.
These teams are meeting for the first time since Oct. 11 in Sunrise, with the Panthers posting a 6-2 win as moderate favorites (-150) as the Over (5.5) cashed.
Florida is just 1-3-1 in the past five games, while the Under has a 3-2 edge. The offense has scuffled lately, going for two or fewer goals in five consecutive outings, averaging just 1.6 GPG.
The Panthers have given Sergei Bobrovsky every chance to round into form. But he continues to struggle, allowing three or more goals in five straight starts, posting an 0-3-0 record, 4.16 GAA and .800 SV% in three outings in January. Daniil Tarasov (5-6-2, 2.81 GAA, .904 SV%) has been a little more consistent lately, and he picked up a win against the red-hot Colorado Avalanche Sunday, allowing a single goal on 28 shots in a 2-1 victory.
The Senators have dropped three in a row, including an 8-2 in Denver against the aforementioned Avs. The Over is 4-1 in the past five games, with Ottawa coughing up 4.2 GPG in the span.
Let's roll with the Panthers to get it done, while going Over on the total, especially if Bobrovsky is given another start.
- Panthers ML (+100 at DraftKings Sportsbook)
- Over 6.5 (+110 at Bet365, Caesars, DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbooks)
Seattle Kraken
at Carolina Panthers
The Kraken (20-14-8) kick off a five-game road trip against the Hurricanes (27-14-3) at Lenovo Center in Raleigh, N.C. at 7 p.m. EST on ESPN+.
Seattle has picked up points in 10 straight games, going 8-0-2 in the span, including five straight victories on the road. The Over has cashed in three of the past four outings.
The Kraken were tripped up 3-2 in overtime against the visiting Minnesota Wild with Philipp Grubauer in the crease. Expect Joey Daccord (12-9-5, 2.82 GAA, .903 SV%, 2 SO) to be back in between the pipes.
This is the first meeting between these teams this season. Seattle won 4-2 in Raleigh on Dec. 3, 2024 as heavy underdogs (+235) as the total pushed (6). The Under is 3-1-1 in the past five meetings, and 5-1-2 in the eight all-time meetings. Carolina is 3-1-0 in four home games against Seattle all-time, too.
The Canes have won three straight games, including two wins against Western Conference powers Anaheim and Dallas at home. The Over cashed in both meetings, while going 4-1 in the past five meetings.
Carolina is favored by nearly three times your return, and that's way too expensive on the moneyline, especially as hot as Seattle has been on the road. Let's back the Kraken as underdogs on the puck line, and go high on the total based on the recent trends.
- Kraken +1.5 Goals (+100 at DraftKings Sportsbook)
- Over 5.5 (-130 at Bet365, Caesars, DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbooks)
