2025 Fantasy Outlook
While his 2025 season wasn't as memorable as his 2024 campaign when he won twice on the PGA Tour, statistically he was actually better this past year. MacIntyre ranked inside the top 15 in both SG: Total and adjusted scoring average. His approach play took big strides in 2025 and really completed the only weakness that was in his game. Not many players on Tour can say they rank inside the top 60 in all strokes gained categories. MacIntyre was truly a few shots here and there in 2025 from it being another huge season. He finished second at both the U.S. Open and BMW Championship, which were two of his 11 top-20s on the PGA Tour. The Scot also added another home victory on the DP World Tour at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in the fall. MacIntyre carded a two-under 70 on Sunday at the Arnold Palmer Invitational to finish two-under and tied for 24th.
ANALYSIS
MacIntyre ranked second behind only Cameron Young in SG: Off-the-Tee at Bay Hill, though the Scottish 29-year-old lost over five strokes with his irons while hitting just 40 of 72 greens in regulation throughout the week. Nonetheless, MacIntyre has now gained strokes both off the tee and with the flat stick in each of his first five starts to begin the 2026 season, guiding him to a trio of top-25 results. He'll peg it again this week at THE PLAYERS Championship where he finished solo-ninth last year.

MacIntyre would have been a winner on the PGA Tour if not for a truly heroic finish by Rory McIlroy at the Scottish Open. Nevertheless, that showing in his national open went a long way to notching a spot on the Ryder Cup team and securing a PGA Tour card for 2024. Ball-striking has never really been the strength of MacIntyre's game, but he turned that around last season where he ranked 13th in SG: Tee-to-Green on the DPWT. Combine that with his natural ability on the greens and MacIntyre could certainly make a little noise in 2024. He has already notched a trio of top-12 finishes in majors at age 27.
The Scotsman has been ranked in the top 50 in the world during 2021 and was trying to secure his PGA Tour card via the Korn Ferry playoffs. Even in the unlikely scenario that MacIntyre fails to qualify that way, his world ranking, and name recognition, would get him into many PGA Tour events, plus majors and WGCs.
