2025 Fantasy Outlook
Yu's regular season numbers have improved in each of the past two seasons since his rookie campaign in 2023. In addition, Yu carded his first PGA Tour win during the fall portion of the 2024 season at the Sanderson Farms Championship. Yu has been pretty consistent in his three years on the PGA Tour, but he hasn't shown much of an upside outside of his one win during the fall. He did improve his performance during the regular season this past year, which is a good sign, but it's not enough to justify a salary cap selection this season. Read Past Outlooks

Yu failed to make the cut at The Genesis Invitational after posting a two-over cumulative score in the first two rounds of the tournament.
ANALYSIS
With the cut line set at even par, Yu looked like he was going to make it to the weekend after going two-under on the front nine of the second round, but he proceeded to go two-over on the back, which included two bogeys over the final three holes. It's been a disappointing start to 2026 for Yu, who has missed the cut in three of four Tour outings (though everyone made the cut at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am last week, when he finished T70). Yu will look to turn things around next week at the Cognizant Classic, where he finished T9 in his first and only appearance at the event in 2024.

Yu's stock is definitely on the rise, despite the usual inconsistency pros make during the first full year on Tour. Although he suffered through 19 missed cuts in his rookie season, he had some excellent finishes along the way, including a sixth-place finish at the John Deere Classic. The ASU product excelled in several statistical categories, most notably ranking sixth in SG: Off-the-Tee and a GIR of 72.4%, good enough for fourth place on Tour.
Yu ranked second on the Korn Ferry Tour in total driving throughout the 2022 season, earning his first PGA Tour card after finishing 20th on the KFT's regular season points list. The 24-year-old ASU product placed runner-up at May's Simmons Bank Open and he added another second-place effort again in July at the Price Cutter Charity Championship. He also appeared in six PGA Tour events this past season, notably tying for seventh at the Puerto Rico Open where he tallied 15 birdies and two eagles.
