Kevin Roy

35-Year-Old Golfer
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Roy's first stint on the PGA Tour in 2023 saw him relegated back to the lower level, but he regained his card this past season and did enough to keep it for 2026. That was largely due to a hot three-week stretch in the summer that was highlighted by finishing one short at the John Deere Classic. Roy's a late bloomer being 35-years-old, and his combination of above average length and accuracy led him to ranking 42nd in SG: Off-the-Tee. That gives him a solid foundation to build from, but he'll need to make strides with his iron play in order to take a step forward next season. Read Past Outlooks
Settles for T13 in Hawaii
January 18, 2026
Roy carded a one-over 71 during the final round at the Sony Open in Hawaii to finish tied for 13th.
ANALYSIS
Roy started off hot with an eight-under 62 first round to end the day as the co-leader with Nick Taylor, though neither player managed to carry that momentum into the final three days of the tournament. Roy ranked fifth and seventh in SG: Putting and SG: Around the Green, respectively, but he ranked near the bottom of the field in GIR and SG: Approach to Green. It was his best performance on a PGA Tour event since the John Deere Classic in July (T3), and Roy will enter The American Express next week ranked 137th in the OWGR.

RotoWire's golf writers reveal their rankings for the 2026 golf season, and you won't have to look far down the list to find the name of Rory McIlroy.
2023 Fantasy Outlook
A runner-up finish at the Wichita Open in mid-June sparked a streak of six consecutive cuts made for Roy to close out his 2022 regular season on the Korn Ferry Tour ranked just inside the top 25 of the points list, thus earning a PGA Tour card for the first time in his career. The 32-year-old also ranked top 20 on the KFT in both GIR percentage and birdie average. He led the Korn Ferry Tour in par-5 scoring as well, so Roy could be a name to monitor as a potential punt play in daily fantasy contests early in the 2022-23 season.
