Smith ranked 20th in SG: Tee-to-Green and eighth in GIR percentage on the DP World Tour. The ball striking has always been there for the 33-year-old, but the putting can be very streaky. ANALYSIS
Smith was able to make the cut this week, but that was really all he had to celebrate about after a two-over-par weekend. The Englishman ranked 18th in SG: Off-the-Tee, but 63rd in SG: Around-the-Green and 68th in SG: Putting. Smith is just getting going in his rookie season on the PGA Tour after a long stint with the DP World Tour being his primary tour. He will tee it up at The American Express.
