Perry carded a four-under 67 on Sunday in the final round of The Open Championship to finish in a tie for 16th at seven-under par.
ANALYSIS
Perry closed out his final round of The Open Championship on Sunday birding three out of his final four holes to back his way into a top-20 finish. This finish for the 111th ranked golfer in the world according to the WGR, is only his third top-20 finish on the year. Perry sure didn't play like the 111th ranked player in the world, as he finished ninth in SG: Approach, 16th in SG: Off the tee, and 19th in SG: Around the green, which allowed him to be sixth in the field in SG: Tee to Green. While his putting left something to be desired, only ranking 58th in SG: Putting, Perry outperformed his expectations. He will look to take this great performance and build off of it in his next DP European Tour start.
