Thornberry recorded a nine-over 80 in the final round of the Butterfield Bermuda Championship to finish tied for 22nd place.
ANALYSIS
Thornberry headed into Sunday's action tied for the lead following three rounds in the 60s, but the wheels came off after a birdie-birdie start as he carded six bogeys, a double bogey and a triple bogey to tumble down the leaderboard. He hit just six fairways and seven greens in regulation Sunday. The PGA Tour rookie has only recorded two individual top-25s this year, although both have come over his last three starts.
