2025 Fantasy Outlook
Potgieter was perhaps the most erratic golfer on the PGA Tour this past season. Potgieter posted a runner-up in Mexico in February, then a long dry spell until a T6 in late May, followed by an inexplicable win the next week. After that, another long dry spell that lasted through the end of the season. In total, it was three top-10s and the one win, which vaulted him into the top 60 on the money list at year's end. Potgieter is just 21-years-old, and he came out of nowhere in 2025, so there's a lot to learn about him in the coming years. Potgieter's ceiling could be much higher than what we saw this past year, but his lack of consistency is a little concerning. Potgieter earned a spot in the third signature event of the PGA Tour season as the final sponsor exemption. The 21-year-old South African is coming off a solo fifth performance at The Genesis Invitational, which was a welcome sign after he missed the cut in each of his first three Tour outings of the year. Potgieter is 19th in the FedExCup Standings with 307.88 points, most of which came from his performance at Riviera.
