When White signed with the Dolphins last year, it looked like a good opportunity for a journeyman quarterback. After all, starter Tua Tagovailoa had yet to play more than 13 games in a season because of injuries. So what did Tua do? He started all 17 games for the Dolphins, relegating White to mop-up duty in a handful of games. The 6-5 White has a strong arm and the last two season was on target with 53.3 percent of his 15 attempts of 20-plus yards. But he’s not mobile, rushing 19 times for -1 yard in 14 career games. If Tua doesn’t stay as healthy this year, White would seemingly be in a good spot for passing stats with wideouts Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle in Mike McDaniel’s dynamic offense. Third-string Skylar Thompson is still around, but he didn’t see the field at all last season.
