Kyzir White

White has progressively increased his role and improved his results across five seasons in the NFL. His breakout came in 2021 as a member of the Chargers, and he further improved his stock on a prove-it deal with the Eagles in 2022. His overall numbers took a dip due to the stacked nature of the Philadelphia defense, but he emerged as a productive defender in coverage and landed a two-year, $10 million contract with the Cardinals this offseason. With the move, he'll shift from a role as one of many talented playmakers in Philly to among the centerpieces of the Arizona defense. That should give him the chance to excel both in run and pass defense, with a return to his 2021 totals (144 tackles, two interceptions, three passes defended) a realistic possibility.

The Eagles linebackers were a mess in 2021, and they went into free agency targeting White as their preferred option for addressing the need. While that doesn’t make him a lock to serve as Philadelphia’s LB1 in 2022, it probably should make him the favorite. If he can secure that role then it should make White a LB1 in most IDP formats, just as he was in 2021 with 144 tackles for the Chargers.

White took over the Chargers' starting right outside linebacker role last year and largely played up to expectations, piling up at least five tackles in every game that he played at least 75 percent of the team's defensive snaps. Known primarily as a coverage linebacker, White should see plenty of time on the field with a number of depth pieces such as Denzel Perryman and Nick Vigil having departed this offseason.
