These teams met in the season opener, and the Eagles were leading at halftime, 21-20. Early in the third quarter, a storm delayed the game. Upon both teams returning to the field, neither offense was able to get back on track. The only other scoring was a Philadelphia field goal. It's been a long time since that game. The Dallas defense has turned out to be one of the worst units in the league. Their offense has been inconsistent from week to week. Meanwhile, aside from a two-week stretch in Weeks 8-9, the Eagles haven't figured out their offense. Philly only scored 26 points over their last two games. Fortunately, their defense has become elite. In recent wins over the Packers and Lions, the Eagles have given up eight points per game.
Even though this is a divisional matchup that can lead to a wild and/or unpredictable result, the Eagles defense is likely far too much for the Cowboys offense to overcome. Conversely, Philadelphia should be able to score enough on a weak Dallas defense to secure the win.
I predict the Eagles win this game 26-17.
