NFL Yahoo DFS Picks Week 15: Top Picks & Strategy Tips

This article is part of our Yahoo DFS Football series.

The Week 15 NFL DFS Yahoo main slate begins Sunday at 1 p.m. EST and features 13 games. All of the byes for the 2025 season have wrapped up, but teams playing on Thursday Night Football (Falcons-Buccaneers), Sunday Night Football (Vikings-Cowboys) and Monday Night Football (Dolphins-Steelers) are excluded from the main slate.

Playing in guaranteed prize pool (GPP) Yahoo DFS football contests is about chasing upside, while lineups geared toward head-to-head, 50/50 or double-up formats should prioritize high floors. The players you want to target for these different contest types aren't mutually exclusive, but winning a GPP tournament usually requires finding a hidden gem or going against the grain in a spot or two while building a solid base of the same chalk plays you would use anywhere. Against-the-grain plays typically consist of big-name players in tough matchups or boom-or-bust types with uncertain roles.

Keep in mind that Yahoo DFS football contests use 0.5 PPR scoring rather than full PPR, which lowers the comparative value of wide receivers and running backs (in that order) while especially affecting high-volume pass-catchers. NFL DFS Yahoo lineups consist of one QB, two RBs, three WRs, one TE, one FLEX (RB/WR/TE) and one D/ST unit. Suggested Yahoo DFS picks for Week 15 include a couple of players who have played through injuries this season but have looked healthier recently, as well as a pair of workhorse RBs likely to benefit from favorable game scripts.

QUARTERBACK

Lamar Jackson, BAL at CIN ($36): Jackson had looked like a shell of himself in his first few games back from a hamstring injury, but the two-time NFL MVP was back to his vintage dual-threat form in the Week 14 loss to Pittsburgh. Lamar generated his first rushing TD since Week 1 and exceeded 40 rushing yards for the first time since Week 4, which is when he initially suffered the hamstring injury. The Bengals contained a more limited version of Jackson in late November, but Cincinnati's porous defense is allowing a league-high 31.8 points per game overall and just allowed Josh Allen to rush for 78 yards and a TD while throwing three touchdown passes. If Jackson's anywhere close to full capacity, he's a terrific bargain as the QB with the eighth-highest price in the Week 15 NFL DFS Yahoo main slate.

Honorable Mentions: Matthew Stafford, LAR vs. DET ($40); Brock Purdy, SF vs. TEN ($35); Jaxson Dart, NYG vs. WAS ($32)

Against the Grainers: Sam Darnold, SEA vs. IND ($32); C.J. Stroud, HOU vs. ARI ($29); Shedeur Sanders, CLE at CHI ($28)

RUNNING BACK

Travis Etienne, JAC vs. NYJ ($31): Etienne has consistently seen substantial workloads, and the 9-4 Jaguars' home matchup against the 3-10 Jets will likely add to that trend. He has fallen shy of 15 touches only twice all season, and six of Etienne's nine scrimmage TDs in 2025 have come in the past five games. He has a great opportunity to add to his TD total against a Jets defense that has allowed a league-high 19 total TDs to RBs in 2025, including nine rushing scores in the last four games.

Saquon Barkley, PHI vs. LV ($29): Given Jalen Hurts' struggles throwing the ball, Philadelphia's formula for success is to ride Barkley's legs and their defense. Such a game plan is likely to work against the 2-11 Raiders, who are set to start backup QB Kenny Pickett. Vegas' 14 rushing TDs allowed to RBs are tied for third-most in the NFL, so Barkley's in good position to build on his 122-yard, one-TD rushing performance against the Chargers in his previous outing. If the Eagles can build a lead as expected, they will likely give Barkley another heavy workload on the ground after entrusting him with 20-plus carries in three of the past five games.

Honorable Mentions: Derrick Henry, BAL at CIN ($34); Woody Marks, HOU vs. ARI ($25); Tyrone Tracy, NYG vs. WAS ($23)

Against the Grainers: Chase Brown, CIN at BAL ($33); Ashton Jeanty, LV at PHI ($28); Tony Pollard, TEN at SF ($21)

WIDE RECEIVER

Jauan Jennings, SF vs. TEN ($26): Jennings had some quiet performances earlier in the campaign while playing through injuries, but his production has picked up along with his health. San Fransisco's No. 1 WR has scored in four of his last five games while recording at least four catches in seven consecutive outings. Jennings is well positioned to keep rolling against a Titans defense that has allowed each of Jerry Jeudy, Jakobi Meyers, Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Nico Collins to post at least 76 yards and a TD over the last four games. Overall, Tennessee has allowed the sixth-most yards to WRs and is tied for the ninth-most TDs given up to the position.

Terry McLaurin, WAS at NYG ($25): McLaurin will be catching passes from Marcus Mariota again with Jayden Daniels (elbow) back on the shelf, but Washington's top wideout is an appealing option nonetheless against a Giants secondary that has allowed the fourth-most yards to WRs overall and second-most among teams in Sunday's Yahoo NFL DFS main slate, behind only the Colts. McLaurin's best performance of the season came in Mariota's last start, when McLaurin shook off a daunting matchup with Denver's elite secondary to post seven catches for 96 yards and a TD.

Jerry Jeudy, CLE at CHI ($18): Jeudy and Shedeur Sanders seemed to get on the same page in the Week 14 loss to the Titans after a heated sideline argument the previous game, as they linked up for 76 yards and a TD against Tennessee. Cleveland's top WR has had a forgettable season, but Jeudy remains capable of explosive plays and Sanders seems to be at his best when pushing the ball downfield. The Bears are giving up 14.0 yards per catch to WRs and have allowed the third-most TDs to the position (18), so Jeudy's a high-ceiling option at just $18 for a Browns team that lacks other playmakers in their wide receiver room.

Honorable Mentions: Jaxon Smith-Njigba, SEA vs. IND ($44); Ja'Marr Chase, CIN vs. BAL ($35); A.J. Brown, PHI vs. LV ($31)

Against the Grainers: Michael Wilson, ARI at HOU ($29); Brian Thomas, JAC vs. NYJ ($22); Adonai Mitchell, NYJ at JAC ($14)

TIGHT END

Isaiah Likely, BAL at CIN ($13): Likely has outplayed Mark Andrews ($14) in recent weeks, and while Andrews is comfortably locked in with Baltimore on a three-year contract, Likely will be highly motivated to keep posting big numbers down the stretch as he prepares to become an unrestricted free agent. A foot injury that delayed his season debut likely contributed to his lack of production for much of the campaign, but the talented pass catcher has finally gotten up to speed, turning 12 targets into nine catches for 120 yards and a TD over the past two games. That stretch includes a 95-yard performance against the Bengals, who have been by far the worst defense in the league against TEs, allowing the most catches (97), receiving yards (1,258) and TDs (15) to the position by hefty margins. Likely's worth considering as an against-the-grain play, even if you don't stack him with Jackson.

Honorable Mentions: George Kittle, SF vs. TEN ($23); Dalton Schultz, HOU vs. ARI ($15); Brenton Strange, JAC vs. NYJ ($14)

Against the Grainers: Travis Kelce, KC vs. LAC ($19); Tyler Warren, IND at SEA ($18); Dallas Goedert, PHI vs. LV ($15)

DEFENSE

San Francisco 49ers vs. TEN ($11): San Francisco's defense took a while to get rolling as it figured out its best personnel groupings after being depleted by injuries, but DC Robert Saleh's group was playing its best football of the season prior to a Week 14 bye. The 49ers held their last two opponents to single-digit points and have seven takeaways in their last three games. With an extra week to prepare for the visiting Titans, San Francisco's defense should have no trouble outplaying its modest $11 price against a Tennessee offense that averages the fewest yards (246.2) and second-fewest points (15.5) per game.

Honorable Mentions: Seattle Seahawks vs. IND ($20); Philadelphia Eagles vs. LV ($17); Chicago Bears vs. CLE ($14)

Against the Grainers: Buffalo Bills, BUF at NE ($15); Carolina Panthers at NO ($12); New York Giants vs. WAS ($10)
