NFL Picks and Props for Week 17

The 2025 National Football League heads into the final weekends of the 2025 calendar, and, really this might be the most meaningful set of games this season. Sometimes, teams can sew up division titles, seeds, etc. early, and choose to rest in Week 18. So, this might be our final full slate of meaningful Sunday football until the playoffs begin.

After a nice week, in terms of weather, Mother Nature is back in the picture for Sunday's slate of games, particularly in the Midwest. Let's get started!

Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns Prop Plays

*Best lines at time of writing listed

In Week 17, the Steelers (9-6) and Browns (3-12) meet at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland at 1 p.m. EST. And, while the Browns won't win many awards this season, Cleveland should get the Worst Weather of the 2025 NFL Home Schedule award. Sunday will be no exception.

The forecast calls for light rain, and balmy temperatures around 48 to 50 degrees. However, the rain will be accompanied by a southerly win blowing 17-21 MPH TO the lake, not off of it. It's a warm wind, but wind nonetheless. It should wreak havoc on the passing games, and the kicking games.

In addition, we won't know if the Steelers have a division title locked up until Saturday night. If the Baltimore Ravens lose to the Green Bay Packers, then the Steelers will have the AFC North Division clinched. Remember that when idiotic Yinzers were calling for the job of head coach Mike Tomlin? LOL

Browns QB Shedeur Sanders will have a lot of pressure to produce in the final two games, as people are expecting the Browns to draft (AGAIN!?!) a quarterback early in the draft. Has Sanders done enough to prove he can be the guy? Who knows. But, what is easier to predict is that he'll be running for his life on Sunday.

Sanders also won't have security blankets RB Quinshon Judkins (leg) to hand the ball, or dump the ball, to out of the backfield. He also won't have the luxury of TE David Njoku in the red zone, and rookie TE Harold Fannin Jr. carries a questionable tag into the game, so he could be unavailable, too. Sanders' rushing total is a good prop, as he should run early, and often.

Looking to the Steelers, they're likely to lean upon the run game frequently. Pittsburgh's Jaylen Warren had two rushing touchdowns last week, and he has found the end zone five times (four rushing, one receiving) in the past five outings. He is a good bet to score in some capacity. Even if the Ravens lose, and the Steelers clinch, we should still see plenty of Warren. And, if Baltimore wins Saturday, it's a full go for Warren and the Pittsburgh offense.

With Judkins out, Raheim Sanders, Dylan Sampson and Trayveon Williams will be looking to stake their claims for touches, not only in the final two games, but as an audition for 2026. Sanders is the most intriguing here, and he is a good bet to pierce the end zone at least once. There won't likely be a lot of scoring, but Sanders is a good bet to score for Cleveland, if there is a touchdown.

Best Prop Pick: Browns RB Shedeur Sanders - Over 13.5 Rushing Yards (-114 FanDuel)

Best Prop Pick: Steelers RB Jaylen Warren - Anytime Touchdown (+260 FanDuel)

Best Prop Pick: Browns RB Raheim Sanders - Anytime Touchdown (+165 FanDuel)

New York Giants at Las Vegas Raiders Prop Plays

*Best lines at time of writing listed

On the surface, the Giants (2-13) and Raiders (2-13) looks like a garbage game. And that might be right. I remember, as a kid, when the Baltimore Colts and New England Patriots would meet in late-season games in the AFC East, and they'd play these kind of games, and they'd be some really bad football. But, you can bet on anything, especially these days. And, winners are winners, and the football doesn't have to be pretty.

Raiders rookie RB Ashton Jeanty has been excelling lately, finding the sledding a little easier against some bad teams, although he also ripped up a strong Houston Texans defense on the road last week, too. He started off slow, but he has been making up for lost time lately.

The Giants are one of the worst teams in the NFL against the run, and that's not likely to suddenly improve overnight. Jeanty is going to win fantasy managers a lot of money by having a monster Week 17, and he will win you some money if you bet the Over on his rushing total, and he is certainly to crack off one of his runs or receptions for a score, too. However, you must eat a lot of chalk for an Anytime TD. Let's roll the dice on Jeanty finding the end zone at least twice, for a much, much better value, and a chance to go 4X.

And, Brock Bowers hit the Reserve/Injured list this week, as the Silver and Black shut him down rather than risking further injury in meaningless games. Somebody is going to have to suck up those increased targets, and Tre Tucker is likely to benefit, so take him to go high on his yardage total.

And, the Raiders offensive line is horrific. It allowed 10 sacks in a single game to the Browns earlier this season. Let's take Brian Burns AND Dexter Lawrence all to get to the QB at least once.

Best Prop Pick: Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty Over 73.5 Rushing Yards (-114 FanDuel)

Best Prop Pick: Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty To Score 2+ Touchdowns (+410 FanDuel)
