NFL Pick'Em Today: PrizePicks Plays for Week 16 - Monday Night Football

This article is part of our PrizePicks NFL series.

Best NFL Week 16 PrizePicks Plays - Monday Night Football

After a solid PrizePicks run we took an unfortunate hit Sunday. Both Quinshon Judkins and Gardner Minshew were sidelined by halftime, and Bryce Young was just a flat-out bad read on my part. As someone who watched every snap of the Panthers/Buccaneers game, it felt like Young was throwing the ball all over the yard, but Tampa limited the possessions by taking the air out of the ball, and Young had only so many opportunities.

We don't have to wait long to get back on track, and we have some nice defense vs. position matchups to go after. Let's get to it.

Best PrizePicks Picks current as of 9:00 AM ET Monday.

Josh Downs 7 Fantasy Score (MORE)

The 49ers are allowing the second most fantasy points to opposing slot receivers, and Downs is the primary option in that spot for the Colts. With the game script I'm expecting -- and with Philip Rivers wanting to get the ball out quickly -- there should be no shortage of shorter, underneath targets.

Even five receptions for 28 yards gets us home, and Downs is used creatively in the red zone, which raises his ceiling.

Kendrick Bourne 23.5 Receiving Yards (MORE)

With Ricky Pearsall -- per RotoWire's NFL Injury Report -- unavailable, Bourne steps into a role that could get him 70 percent of the snaps. That was much more favorable when his old buddy Mac Jones was under center, but at some point snap share and route participation have to matter, especially against a defense that has routinely been beaten on the outside.

Given that the Colts have allowed plenty of explosive plays, Bourne could top this number on a single reception.

Clelin Ferrell 0.25 Sacks (MORE)

We're really digging into the weeds to find a Demon winner. Ferrell was once the fourth overall pick by the Raiders, and while he was clearly overdrafted, the talent remains.

After bouncing around the league, he's back in San Francisco for another stint. Since Nick Bosa went down, the 49ers have lacked a true edge presence who can generate pressure and actually finish. Enter Ferrell, who was signed off the street in late October and is having a mini-resurgence with 4.0 sacks in five games.

To be fair, the offensive line has been excellent for the Colts all season, even holding up last week against the Seahawks. But if the game script turns unfavorable and Rivers is forced to drop back more often than he'd like to, the immobility of a literal grandpa under center could have Ferrell and the San Francisco defensive line licking its chops.
