NFL Picks: Eagles vs. Raiders Odds, Picks, and Predictions for Week 15

The Eagles have lost three games in a row, slipping to 8-5. Philly holds the No. 3 seed, but unless it gets back on a winning track, there's no guarantee it wins the division, or even makes the playoffs in a loaded NFC.

The offense has been inconsistent and often ineffective, and they are averaging 22.2 points per game. However, the defense has been the team's better unit, and they allow an average of 20.8 points per contest. They'll be up against the Raiders, owners of a 2-11 record, which is tied for the worst in the NFL. Las Vegas scores 15.1 points per game while allowing 25.5 per contest. The Raiders have lost their last seven, and they would have lost their last four by double digits had they not kicked a meaningless field goal as time expired to lose by seven to Denver last week.

Eagles vs. Raiders Betting Picks

The Eagles are at home, though they are on short rest after playing this past Monday night on the west coast against the Los Angeles Chargers. However, it's the last-place Raiders who have to travel cross-country and play an early game, and that is the equivalent of 10 a.m. Las Vegas time.

Philly had its first solid rushing performance from Saquon Barkley in over a month on Monday, including a much-needed 52-yard touchdown to open the fourth quarter. Actually, the passing attack also showed some signs of life, but five turnovers resulted in a loss to the Chargers. Desperately needing a win, and facing Raiders defense that is allowing the ninth-most points in the NFL, this is a perfect get-right spot. The Las Vegas cornerbacks and safeties are overmatched by the trio of A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert. Jalen Hurts should have little trouble getting the ball to his top weapons. Also, Barkley is in line for another big game. The sense of urgency the Eagles have to win a game should keep them from letting down against an inferior opponent.

Offensively, Las Vegas is a disaster. Two of their top offensive linemen were lost to long-term injuries, and the team now has one of the weakest lines in the league.  It is possible they get LT Kolton Miller back, but after a long layoff, it may not be a difference maker. The line struggles to get Ashton Jeanty past the line of scrimmage, and they have major issues keeping opposing pass rushers away from their quarterback. Jeanty is extremely talented, but opposing defenses can easily limit him by hitting him behind the line of scrimmage. The only plus pass catcher the Raiders have is Brock Bowers, but he's the only receiver the Eagles have to worry about, and they are already excellent in defending tight ends.

Eagles vs. Raiders Predictions

The Eagles should be able to limit Jeanty and Bowers, which means another expected long day for the Vegas offense. Aside from some meaningless production late in the game, it's unlikely Las Vegas has much sustained offense.

I predict the Eagles win this game 29-13

Best Bet: Eagles -11.5
