Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers
Betting Odds, Picks, and Predictions for Wildcard Weekend
Well, well, well. Here we are for Part III of this year's version of the NFL's oldest rivalry, and the teams are coming in from very different directions.
With nothing to play for in Week 18, OUR Chicago Bears and the Lions played a very light, very conservative finale that saw Detroit win it with a field goal at the gun (that easy Under also gave us another nice victory).
The Packers, who also had nothing to play for, wanted only two things from their game against Minnesota: rest and health. Green Bay is so incredibly banged up that it treated the game like a Week 1 Preseason game with hardly any starters playing, and it showed. There are also surprising and growing reports that Green Bay head man Matt LaFleur is coaching for his job this week.
Are Jordan Love, Josh Jacobs, and Christian Watson healthy and ready to go? Is LaFleur gone with a loss? Has the guard officially turned in the NFC North? The storylines are juicy, and everything is magnified come playoff time. Let's get it on!

Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers Betting Odds
- Spread: Packers -1.5 (-110 BetMGM, Caesars), Bears +2 (-110 Fanatics)
- Moneyline: Packers -124 (FanDuel), Bears +110 (Caesars, DraftKings, Fanatics)
- Total: Over 44.5 (-108 Caesars), Under 44.5 (-105 FanDuel)
Like Kramer with boxers, this line has been flipping and flopping all week. It opened with Green Bay -1.5 last Sunday, moved to CHI -1.5 on Tuesday morning, where it went back and forth all day before settling to where it is at time of publishing.
At its current state, Chicago is getting 71 percent of the bets, and 69 percent of the money, so I would not be surprised if we see another late move down to a true pick 'em. The total opened at 45.5, and rose as high as 46.5 for a brief time before gradually falling to 44.5 on Thursday, holding there. At 44.5, 60 percent of the bets, and 54 percent of the money, favor the Over.
The weather here in the upper Midwest has been crazy, and for us, crazy means mild. Mid-week the high in Chicago was 58 (!!!) degrees, but that will not last long as 1-2 inches of snow and a high of 36 is forecasted for Saturday. The wind also picks up a bit, but let's be real, 36 and a little snow is nothing for these two teams to deal with January. I don't see the weather playing much of a role in this one.

Chicago Bears vs. Detroit Lions Betting Picks
All year, OUR Chicago Bears have proven they belong on this stage. And all year, yours truly has drawn attention to the many parallels between this year's Bears and last year's Washington Commanders. Washington's magical run last season did not end when the playoffs began as they beat Tampa Bay with a field goal as time expired in last year's NFC Wild-Card Round.
I see Chicago's run continuing here, as well. It is the healthier team. It is the team that has played better down the stretch. It has the better run game, which is critical come playoff time. Its vibe with Ben Johnson has been incredible all year, and Caleb Williams has grown as a quarterback and leader. With the spread so volatile, I'm going to take advantage of the current plus-money on the Bears' moneyline. This one is going to be fun...enjoy!
