As part of Mississippi's 2025 team, its head coach Lane Kiffin, Watkins excelled out wide. For regular-season games against the Southeastern Conference's colleges, he logged 238 receiving yards. Now that Kiffin is LSU's head coach, Watkins will transfer there to log his sophomore year. At minimum, the wide receiver's excellence should continue.
