Max Klare

Klare was easily the nation's best tight end in the transfer portal in the offseason, and the Buckeyes snatched him up right away. Formerly at Purdue, the Buckeyes had a solid game plan for him in a 45-3 blowout at home, but the game was an outlier compared to the rest of his junior campaign. Klare led the Boilermakers with 51 catches, 685 yards and four touchdowns. Julian Sayin will have many receiving options at his disposal, so there is reason to believe Klare may see a small downgrade in production, though Klare is likely higher in the pecking order for targets than the tight end room the Buckeyes employed last season.
