Houston Thomas

Tight ends in college football are often an afterthought, if not fully removed from the equation. Thomas was not such a tight end in 2024. He compiled 34 catches for 470 yards and three touchdowns. If a receiver put up numbers like that, it would be considered solid output. For a tight end, that's impressive. Thomas even had a game with over 100 yards receiving! The Roadrunners have the same head coach, same starting quarterback, and the same top three wide receivers. They also have a trio of tight ends returning, two of which - Thomas and Patrick Overmyer - are viewed as weapons in the receiving game, while Dan Dishman excels primarily as a blocker. That said, the room battled injuries throughout the season, Thomas included (though he didn't miss a game), and Thomas is viewed as presenting the most upside as a pass-catcher among the options.
