2024 Fantasy Outlook
Pavia broke out in 2024, delivering 2,293 passing yards, a 20:4 TD:INT, 801 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns in his first season in the SEC. He won a lawsuit against the NCAA for an additional year of eligibility and returns to Vanderbilt with high expectations. Pavia's top two targets from 2024 will run it back as well, with tight end Eli Stowers (49 catches, 638 yards) and Junior Sherrill (29 catches, 411 yards) leading the pass-catching crew. WR depth behind Sherill is shaky, but Pavia should have enough talent around him to keep up or exceed his 2024 totals. One player to keep an eye on to emerge in that room is Trent Hudson. Hudson played with Pavia at New Mexico State in 2023, and caught 36 passes for 551 yards and 10 touchdowns before riding the bench at Mississippi State last year. But even if Vanderbilt's air attack falters, Pavia's rushing ability keeps his fantasy floor high. Huge day not enough
Pavia completed 25 of 38 passes for 347 yards and two touchdowns during Wednesday's 34-27 defeat to Iowa. He also had 15 rushes for 36 yards with one touchdown.
ANALYSIS
Pavia closed out a storybook senior season with a huge output against a stingy Iowa defense, including three total touchdowns. All told, he found pay dirt 39 times combined (29 as a passer, 10 as a runner) during his final campaign, both career-high marks while completing a career-best 70.4 percent of his 379 pass attempts for 3,539 yards (also a career-best) and rushing 167 times for 862 yards. This presumably spells the end to Pavia's college career after being awarded an additional season of eligibility most other players weren't because of his time in junior college. Assuming that's the case, Pavia's next step will be prepping for a chance to possibly hear his name called in the 2026 NFL Draft. He's currently viewed as a likely Day 3 or free agent acquisition next spring, but his draft prospects can certainly change depending on how he performs leading up to it.
