Bound for draft
Martinez announced Monday via social media that he will forgo his remaining eligibility at Miami to enter the 2025 NFL Draft.
ANALYSIS
Martinez had one more season of eligibility left heading into 2025, but he'll instead make the jump to the professional ranks following an exceptional junior season with Miami. After joining the Hurricanes as a transfer from Oregon State, Martinez carried 159 times for 1,002 yards (6.3 average) and 10 touchdowns while adding a 17-204-0 receiving line on 22 targets over his 13 games as a junior.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Martinez's freshman campaign was stellar, leading all Oregon State rushers with 982 yards. He finished the season with a flourish, notching six consecutive 100-yard games before an almost non-existent presence in the team's 30-3 win over Florida in the Las Vegas Bowl following an injury in the final game of the regular season versus rival Oregon. Deshaun Fenwick will compete for touches in the backfield again, but Jamious Griffin has transferred to Ole Miss and Martinez will be the clear top option with an opportunity to lead the conference in rushing if he can stay healthy.
