Hunter Herring News: Joins Auburn, switches position
Herring (transfer portal) has committed to joining Auburn for the 2026 season as a tight end, Christian Clemente of 247Sports reports.
Herring played multiple positions in his time at ULM, taking snaps at quarterback, carries and receiving passes as tight end. The 6-foot-5 pass-catcher will fight for a role in the Tigers' offense. He completed five of 10 passes for 111 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions while totaling 20 carries for 57 yards and two scores. He also reeled in four receptions for 17 yards across 10 appearances during the 2025 season.
