DFS College Football 2025: PrizePicks Selections for Week 0

This article is part of our DFS College Football series.

College football is back, and so am I with this special Week 0 PrizePicks edition of my favorite player props as part of our DFS College Football series! Last season, I finished with a 12-5 record on my QB prop picks, 8-6 on RB picks and 4-10 on WR/TE picks for a total of 24-21 (53.3% Win Rate) through the Conference Championship games (before struggling through the Playoffs).

To identify my top college football picks, I always start by referring to the "Best CFB Picks" on RotoWire's Picks tool, which compares the passing, rushing, receiving and kicking numbers available at several of the most popular DFS sites and sportsbooks to find which props are most favorable to choose on PrizePicks. The tool also compares the numbers to RotoWire's projections and factors in how frequently the player surpassed the number in past games -- known as the "hit rate" -- to indicate if we should lean "more" or "less."

Always keep in mind that PrizePicks will adjust lines throughout the week, so if you see a pick that you like, I suggest locking it in early. We may lean "more" or "less" on Wednesday, and by the time the line has settled for kickoff it has become a stay-away. (You can track line movement using the RotoWire Picks tool.)

In addition to considering the picks below, make sure you lock in the promo pick of Kansas State QB Avery Johnson to record more than 0.5 pass yards.

QB Rocco Becht, Iowa State

Iowa State lost a pair of 1,100-yard receivers with Jaylin Noel and Jayden Higgins moving onto the NFL. They reloaded with one of the top receivers in the transfer portal in Chase Sowell, but I'm not sold on Central Florida transfer Xavier Townsend filling the other starting WR role.

It would be a lot to expect the passing game to immediately click, especially against a Kansas State team that held Becht to just 137 yards on 13 for 35 passing last season. Look for the Cyclones to lean more on their running game in this one with their two leading backs Carson Hansen and Abu Sama returning for another season.

CFB PrizePicks Selection: Rocco Becht LESS than 229.5 pass yards

RB Bryson Donelson, Fresno State

If you play in season-long college fantasy football leagues, then you already know that the expectations are high for Donelson this season. With Malik Sherrod transferring to Boise State, the door is open for Donelson to build on a strong finish to last season. He tallied 263 rushing yards in the last three games in 2024.

This offseason the Bulldogs brought in a new Head Coach (Matt Entz) and Offensive Coordinator (Josh Davis), who are expected to implement a run-first offense. As the OC at South Dakota last season, Davis produced two 1,000-yard rushers!

CFB PrizePicks Selection: Bryson Donelson MORE than 64.5 rushing yards

WR Jayce Brown, Kansas State

With hundreds of players moving onto the NFL or graduating, plus a busy transfer portal, nearly every team has a lot of moving pieces, making it challenging to project player stats. That's not the case for Kansas State's offense.

Brown was the top receiver for KState last season, connecting with returning starting QB Avery Johnson for 47 receptions for 823 yards on 75 targets. The receiver accumulated at least 60 receiving yards in eight of 13 games in 2024, including a 106-yard, 2 TD game against Iowa State in 2024. That continuity and consistency is what I'm looking for, especially from receivers, early in the season.

CFB PrizePicks Selection: Jayce Brown MORE than 52.5 receiving yards
