Council didn't put together the most efficient performance in failing to connect on 19 of his 25 shot attempts but he still managed to score five of his 23 points in the final minute to help Kansas hold off Arizona and hand the top-ranked Wildcats their first loss of the season. The senior playmaker saw ridiculous usage thanks in large part to the absence of Darryn Peterson (flu-like symptoms), topping five boards for the sixth-straight game and six assists for the fourth time in five games while hoisting at least 25 shots for the second time this season. Council topped 20 points for the second time in league play and is averaging 15.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists across 36.0 minutes through 11 games against Big 12 competition.
