Peat recorded the first double double of his career, combining with Motiejus Krivas for 26 boards as the Wildcats out-rebounded the Huskies by 20. Peat was aided in part by UConn being without star center Tarris Reid but nevertheless it was a quality rebound effort from Peat after he struggled with foul trouble, posting just seven points and four boards while playing only 21 minutes against UCLA in his last outing. Outside of that lone performance, the true freshman has otherwise been as good as advertised, averaging 16.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists. 1.0 steals and 0.6 blocks while shooting 53.7-percent from the field across 28.6 minutes per contest.
