The Mustangs managed to compete against the Hurricanes deep into the second half, and while their efforts weren't enough, Pierre's performance deserves praise since he was all over the court for SMU. This was his ninth consecutive game with double-digit points, and the sixth time in that span where he reached the 20-point plateau. In that nine-game stretch, Pierre is averaging a loaded line of 19.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.6 blocks per contest.
