No longer eligible to play
Bediako's motion for a preliminary injunction that would allow him to continue playing for Alabama was denied Monday, Nick Kelly of Al.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Bediako was granted a temporary restraining order Jan. 21 that made him eligible until Monday's hearing. With the Judge's decision to deny the motion, Bediako is no longer eligible to play. The center appeared in five games with the Crimson Tide, averaging 10.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks while shooting 77.4 percent from the field across 21.6 minutes. Without Bediako, Alabama will lean on Aiden Sherrell and Noah Williamson to hold down the five, while they could occasionally look to play small with Taylor Bol Bowen at center.
