Which NCAA MBB Teams Have Added The Most Fans Online?

The nation's leader in terms of social media movement this week is the Georgia Bulldogs, who are off to a 7-1 start and gained +1.257% by our metrics for measuring week-by-week social media growth.

Up next on our list are the Seton Hall Pirates (+1.200%), who have taken the Big East by storm early on with a 7-1 start.

Throw in Atlantic 10 stalwart St. Bonaventure (+0.525%), Big East member DePaul (+0.518%) and Tulane out of the American Conference (+0.485%) and you have the upper end of Week 4's social media movers covered.

The Bonnies are also 7-1 this year, while the Blue Demons sit at 5-3 and the Green Wave at 5-2, perhaps setting the stage for seasons to remember in Buffalo, Chicago and New Orleans in 2025-26 and shaking up college basketball futures odds.

Who Else Made the List in Week 4?

Outside of the top five nationally, Division I members Fresno State (+0.473%), California (+0.428%), Charlotte (+0.373%), Wichita State (+0.331%) and Vanderbilt (+0.296%) are the leaders online, speaking to the importance of starting hot in today's NCAA men's basketball ecosystem.

Of the latter quintet, only Charlotte is below .500 right now, with the 49ers sitting at 3-5 as of Dec. 1. American Conference mate Wichita State is 4-4.

The Vanderbilt Commodores have been red-hot out of the gate, with eight straight victories to tip off Year 2 of the Mark Byington era in Nashville.

The Cal Golden Bears are 6-1 as head coach Mark Madsen looks to get the ACC newcomer into the Big Dance for the first time since 2016 in 2026.

The other early season surprise on the social media movers list is the Fresno State Bulldogs, who are 6-3 in head coach Vance Walberg's second season in Fresno.

Fresno State has not made the NCAA Tournament since reaching the first round as a No. 14 seed in 2016, potentially opening the door for new levels of success in the San Joaquin Valley this basketball season.
