Today's menu is flush with interesting games which, I fear, is another pace that won't be maintained for the entire season. Sundays are often skinny, particularly during the NFL season, so let's enjoy it, and my hot streak, while we can!

Indiana Hoosiers vs Marquette Golden Eagles 
This is a fantastic, early-season matchup between two of the marquee teams from the Midwest. I played against Marquette earlier this week against Southern, pointing to a major loss in offensive production and a deep opponent. The same things hold true here, except the opponent is much more talented. I love the hire of Darian DeVries by Indiana, and I think his style and stability will make the Hoosiers a problem in the Big 10 for years to come. Armed with a roster that returns the most D1 experience in the country, I like Indiana to take this game in Chicago.

Vermont Catamounts at Brown Bears 
Vermont comes in off a rare down season, hungry to return to its normal position. The Catamounts return a pair of TJs (TJ Hurley and TJ Long) who will anchor the roster with a solid transfer and recruiting class. John Becker is the picture of stability -- a big factor in early-season handicapping. Vermont travels to Brown, a team that may really struggle this season. Their first game did not alleviate those concerns with a 16-point home loss to Siena, and I don't see it getting any better today.

VMI Keydets at Missouri Tigers 
VMI is not exactly a program with a long history of success, but the Keydets made big strides (by their standards) last season and are carrying over a good chunk of their roster into this one. VMI kicked off this campaign with a road win at Southern Indiana and now travels to Colombia to face a major step-up in talent with Missouri. What it might lack in talent, VMI makes up for in depth and experience and should push the Tigers a bit. Mizzou has recorded wins of 21 and five over opponents lesser-than or equal to VMI, and I look for the Keydets to stay within this big number today.
