There's nothing better than fattening the wallets early on and setting ourselves up for the next 3+ months. As I mentioned yesterday, the schedule gets thinner in December as we enter the holiday break period between Feast Week and conference play. Still, if there are games, there are opportunities, and I see a few in today's limited menu. Let's dig in!

Jacksonville State Gamecocks vs North Alabama Lions 
Jax State is in need of a win after three straight losses and North Alabama presents an excellent opportunity. The Gamecocks' three losses have come against teams inside the Top 200 on KenPom and all were competitive games after posting a seven-point home victory over No. 229 Coastal Carolina. At No. 270, North Alabama comes in as the worst team JSU has faced this season. The Lions have been hammered on the road and they also have to travel to No. 91 San Francisco for another game at Wednesday after this one. That's a rough turn-around for any team.

UAB Blazers at MTSU Blue Raiders 
On November 11, UAB suffered a highly surprising home loss to Alabama State. Since, the Blazers have won five straight, including a holiday tournament title in Jacksonville. A road contest at MTSU poses a significant challenge, but the Raiders have struggled when stepping up in competition so far this season. Excluding No. 1 Michigan, who is rolling everyone, MTSU is 0-2 against Top 100 teams with a pair of double-digit losses. UAB has the talent and momentum to take home a road victory as a short favorite.

Incarnate Word Cardinals vs McNeese State Cowboys 
Shane Heirman has built a solid program at IW and they tip off Southland Conference action tonight against the big dog in the yard, McNeese State. Despite the loss of coach Will Wade this off season, the Cowboys haven't fallen off much. They come in after taking home the Cayman Islands tournament title over Feast Week, but a road game against a conference rival is another animal, particularly when you have to cover double-digits. The Cardinals have covered all four of their lined games this season and they were underdogs in all of them, a situation they find themselves in today. IW keeps this one close throughout.
