Minnesota coach Chris Finch said Monday that he's expecting Shannon to absorb most of Nickeil Alexander-Walker's minutes, Jace Frederick of the Pioneer Press reports.

"We feel TJ can bring us a lot of things. We feel like he'll drive winning, too." Finch said. "What those lineup combinations work out to be exactly, we're not 100 percent sure." After seeing limited minutes as a rookie in 2024-25, Shannon is picking up steam to be the eighth man in Minnesota's rotation behind Donte DiVincenzo and Naz Reid. In his first preseason game Saturday against Denver, Shannon had 11 points, four rebounds and four assists in 21 minutes.
